Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site is run by Apurva Somvanshi (“I”, “me”). If you have any questions, email hello@apurva.info or use the contact form.

What I collect

When you send a message or an enquiry. The forms on this site ask for your name and email address, and sometimes a phone number, your country or time zone, a child’s age, and a short message. This is sent to me by email and also stored securely in the website’s database so that no message is lost.

When you browse. The site sets one essential cookie to remember your cookie choice, and stores your light or dark mode preference in your own browser. If analytics are ever switched on, they will only run after you choose “Allow analytics”.

Server logs. Like most websites, the hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. The site also uses the Wordfence security plugin, which checks visits for attacks and may record IP addresses to block harmful traffic.

How I use it

  • To reply to your message or enquiry
  • To arrange and run a programme you have asked to join
  • To keep the website secure and working properly

I do not sell your information, and I do not use it for marketing unless you have asked to hear from me.

Legal basis

I process enquiry information because you have asked me to respond (legitimate interests, and steps taken at your request before agreeing to a programme). Analytics cookies, if used, rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through cookie settings.

Children’s information

Enquiries about a child should be made by a parent or carer. Please share only what is needed to understand how I might help. Information about children is treated with particular care and is never shared without the parent or carer’s agreement, except where the law requires it to keep a child safe.

Who else handles it

The website is hosted by Hostinger, which stores the site and its database on my behalf. Emails are delivered through the site’s mail service. Links to Instagram and LinkedIn take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

How long I keep it

Messages and enquiries are kept only for as long as needed to respond and to support any programme you take part in, and are then deleted. You can ask me to delete your information sooner.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to limit how it is used. You can also object to its use. To do any of these, use the privacy request form below, the contact form, or email hello@apurva.info. If you are in the UK and unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date.
